What a Show for Range Rover Evoque, Dodge Dart and Ford Fusion – What a Year for IAC

DETROIT – (January 13, 2012) -- As the Media and Industry Days of the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit draw to a close, a handful of vehicles stood out as media and industry favorites, three of which feature complete interior systems supplied by IAC Group.

The Range Rover Evoque was named North American Truck of the Year this morning, an honor bestowed following in-depth reviews of a coalition of automotive journalists from the United States and Canada who represent magazines, television, radio, newspapers and websites. The awards are designed to recognize the most outstanding new vehicles of the year, serving as benchmarks in their segments. Criteria for the award include innovation, comfort, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value for the dollar. IAC delivers significant content to the Evoque, including the instrument panel, console, cockpit assembly, overhead system, wheel arch liners, pillars and trunk trim.

Ford debuted its 2013 Fusion this morning at the first unveiling of the day. The new Fusion offers a sporty, driver-oriented environment with a higher center console to support the driver-centric theme, and offers clever storage for items drivers want to keep handy. In addition, passenger space was designed-in by moving the instrument panel toward the windshield, contributing to the interior’s airy, open environment. IAC provides a number of components to this newly redesigned vehicle, which signals the next generation Ford Mondeo for world markets. Among IAC’s contributions: the instrument panel, center console, door panels, throw-in mats, hard trim, ducts and the package tray. Fusion design delivers on the promise of high visual quality, with improved materials, elevated levels of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Interior surfaces are softer to the touch and interior and exterior gaps are minimized, in part, due to our contributions.

Chrysler unveiled the all-new Dodge Dart compact car this morning to rave reviews. Dart is the first Chrysler Group vehicle built on a Fiat Group architecture. The interior of the Dart has received rave reviews in pre-NAIAS stories on the vehicle, and includes significant IAC content. It’s focused on a modern blend of precision craftsmanship, state of the art technology, exciting bursts of color and hand sculptured shapes, which include high quality soft touch materials, ambient lighting and high-tech features. IAC supplies the Dart with its instrument panel, center console, door panels, hard trim, overhead system, carpet, throw-in mats, IP ducts, trunk trim and dash and package tray silencers.
