IAC Receives Two Awards Heralding M&A Activities

The M&A Advisor, Crain’s Detroit Business Recognize Company’s Progress

DEARBORN, Mich. (March 14, 2008) - International Automotive Components Group North America (IAC) together with WL Ross & Co. LLC were recently awarded the 2008 M&A Advisor Award for Automotive & Auto Parts Turnaround Deal of the Year and 2008 Crain’s Detroit Business M&A Deal of the Year. IAC was honored based on transactions surrounding its founding in March 2007, as well as strategic acquisition activity later in the year with Collins & Aikman.

"Over the past several years, the IAC team members have persevered through some of the toughest of professional circumstances. The M&A Advisor recognizes top-performing professionals and firms whose activities set the standard for the industry. Seventeen Turnaround Awards were presented at a ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla. Winners were chosen by an independent committee of judges consisting of six professionals enlisted from private equity, turnaround consulting and due diligence firms.

The first annual Crain’s Detroit Business M&A Awards were presented on March 13 in Troy, Mich. Winners were chosen based on the strategic significance and success of the deal entered, as well as its positive civic or community impact in southeast Michigan. IAC was honored in the “Best Deal, More Than $100 Million” category.
